All Stars for Education 2011

On Thursday, March 10th, Matt Birk and his HIKE Foundation hosted All Stars for Education featuring Matt Birk and Friends. This dinner and auction took place at Annie’s Paramount Steak and Seafood House located at 500 Kent Narrows Way in Grasonville, MD.
Over 150 guests enjoyed an exciting night that started off with cocktails and a silent auction at 6 p.m. Followed by a delicious surf and turf dinner. The night ended with a live auction featuring a wide variety of autographed sports memorabilia, wine and cigar gifts, luxury trips, and other unique experiences. Celebrity friends included: Baltimore Ravens Chris Carr, former NFL players Qadry Ismail, Lenny Moore, Robert Reifsnyder, Sanders Shiver, Ed Simmons, Fearon Wright, NHL Hall of Famer Rod Langway, and MLB Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson.
More than $30,000 was raised to benefit the HIKE Foundation and its signature programs. The mission of the HIKE Foundation is to provide at-risk Baltimore area children with the educational opportunities needed to excel in the classroom and in life. The HIKE Foundation impacts the lives of at-risk children by providing interactive programs and resources needed to guide a child through the key educational transitions between elementary, middle, high school and college.
